I just learned this handy acronym for remembering the colors of the rainbow.
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet
Anyway, it inspired my next craft. Rainbows!

Step.1 cut up tissue paper in squares and cut out rainbow shapes from poster board.

Step.2 wrap one tissue square around the end of a pencil and dip in glue. (good old Elmer's glue works great)

Step.3 apply it to your rainbow shape. I drew lines so I knew where each color went, but the girls who did this with me, just applied their tissue paper anywhere.

Step.4 check your progress out, but trying it on as a hat. Good right?

Step.5 patience eventually it will turn into a rainbow. I added a lot of tissue paper to mine, Caleigh (my daughter) and her friends spaced theirs out more and got done a lot quicker. Mine took a couple of hours to complete, but I loved it and had nothing else to do that day.
I plan on using mine when we make our leprechaun traps next week.
