Oreo Truffles St. Valentino

One of my favorite indulgences has to be Oreos. Growing up there were ALWAYS Oreos around, Laura, can you remember all the oreo shakes? Well, my Dad had a signature OREO shake... and we had it almost every Monday night for Family Night. So it was "love at first bite" when I had Oreo Truffles! They are sooo easy. Savannah decided she wanted to take them for her class treat tomorrow. We made them together. Its just oreos, cream cheese, and dipping chocolate! They are sooo rich, you only need one to be totally satisfied, and then 20min later you can have another...and 20min after that, another... and so on!

Valentine Advent

I got this in the mail this week from my Amazing Sister. She is a crafting contessa! This measures about 2 1/2 feet across, its pretty big. She just used felt, cut a heart, glued a smaller pink heart, and even hot glued the ric rack around the edges. Then she did the smaller hearts- they have little pockets in them, and then just sticky felt numbers... she might have used the cricut?! Anyhoo... each little pocket has a little paper in it that either says an activity like "make a love shack" (a gingerbread house) or "show love to Savannah today by giving her one act of service" or "write a love note to CJ...." The kids love it, especially when the message is something about them~ Thanks LISA!! xoxoXOxoOOXxo

Valentine Decor

My mantle. Thanks to my Cricut- I was able to cut perfect hearts to make the garland. Cut and tie them all together- as you can see there is one stubborn heart (at least you can see how they are all tied.) The idea of the burlap wreath came from here. And I did the roses myself!

So... I went to All A Dollar, and bought pink and red roses. My daughter and I had a girls-night and painted them with Martha's glitter glue, and spooned glitter, shook them, set to dry. Then, I just took the picks, pressed them into a brick of floral foam, wrapped it in ribbbon, and viola! All for $3! So excited. I love glitter!
My MIL bought me the LOVE letters, but I am certain with a little modgepodge you could make these yourself! Michaels, JoAnn's everyone's carrying letters these days. I also get a ton of use out of them. Just about EVERY bridal shower I use them as part of the table centerpiece. The little topiary came from The Idea Room. (which is a blog i check all the time!) love her!
This was a super-fast project, taken from Tatertots and Jello. Great inspiration there too!
The wreath is also from here. Way time consuming. Don't know that I could stand to cut circles for 2 hours again... but wait, its lovely! I still want to add some ribbon, but haven't found the right look- and well, time is running out- so I just hung it. And those candles are straight from Smiths- the grocer! ($4.99)

I love V-day and it's right around the corner. So hopefully they'll be lots of Pink and Red crafts coming my way. Anyway, this super easy frame was fun to make, and even cuter displayed.
